The quince brandy gets my vote as a little tipple in some Earl Grey tea to go with these elegant muffins.
I first experienced brandy in tea back in the eighties whilst living in London. I’d just returned from the continent as it was called then with duty free gifts for my friends. It was mid morning when I arrived at Clapham fresh off the overnight ferry and bus with almanac in hand for Dallas and Max. Quick as a flash she said “let’s have some now”, into a cup of tea it went. I declined at first but eventually surrendered to try it. It was a taste sensation, one I think would go perfectly with your muffins Sally.
Well that sounds lovely! If you like drinks with Armagnac in, then have a look at the brandy liqueur article I link to as there's a great and easy recipe for a French tipple called Fenelon. Excellent for making Xmas pressies, too!
Save some of those cute little muffins for your dad :-)
It’s a long drive to Canterbury for muffins, Dodo
Love quince and love the recipe. Thank you
Thanks - let me know if you make it ♥️
