Another lovely piece of writing Sally and some beautiful pictures, the way you describe everything is so delicate, you've got me excited about fish heads! 😅❤️

Sylvester the Cat used to say "sufferin' succotash". I loved that phrase even though I never knew what it meant. Reading this I couldn't help but hear Sylvester say "simmerin' supper dish". This piece simmers, in a really good way.

Omg yeah I remember that. My brother used to say it a lot but we were kids so I don’t think he got it right and just said something similar sounding. We used to stand at the kitchen table and he’d slam his fist on the wood and say ‘sarsaparilla’ and I’d slide him a shot glass of milk and I’m sure he’d then try and say ‘sufferin’ succotash’ after. Must have been all the lovely ‘s’ sounds that we liked 😂

And the "th" sounds. Thhhhufferin. Never tried sarsaparilla. I remember when McDonalds used to sell root beer. Was very disappointing as a child. Maybe I would like it more now. Sliding shots curling style though now there's a guaranteed pleasure.

Oh root beer is delish! I love anything medicinal tasting, which is why I use that euthymol pink toothpaste. If you try root beer again, have the AW one. The posh versions are gross but AW is like Coca Cola sweet and nasty in a good old pure sugar way. Also make sure it’s really cold.

I found a cold AW, definitely like it more now than 8 year old me did
